Cancer Treatment Center Underway at Southeastern Regional Medical Center
NEWNAN, Ga. — Batson-Cook Company, headquartered in West Point, Ga., has returned to Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southeastern Regional Medical Center (SRMC) to complete a $48 million addition that will provide advanced cancer treatment services.
WellStar Paulding Hospital Opens
HIRAM, Ga. – The new eight-story, 295,000-square-foot WellStar Paulding Hospital opened for patients April 1. With 56 beds and the ability to double its current capacity, the WellStar Paulding Hospital houses four state-of-the-art surgical suites, 40 emergency exam rooms, a dedicated pediatric emergency department and cardiac catheterization center.
The new hospital features several new technologies, such as UV Air Handlers and a water re-disinfectant system, that are focused on infection prevention.
MU Health Care Expansion Earns LEED Gold
COLUMBIA, Mo. — A $190 million patient care tower addition to the University Hospital in Columbia, Mo., has received LEED Gold certification. The eight-story replacement facility, which opened in March 2013, was designed by HOK, with offices in St. Louis, and constructed by JE Dunn Construction of Kansas City, Mo. It is the largest expansion ever for University of Missouri (MU) Health Care.
William “Steve” Hart
Heery International has promoted architect William “Steve” Hart to vice president. Hart, who first joined Heery in 1995, currently heads Heery’s interior design studio in Atlanta where he specializes in corporate, higher education and health care interiors. Hart has spent the last 20 years working both as a designer and project manager.
