SAN JOSE, Calif. — Ratcliff Architects, based in Emeryville, and its partner, Santa Clara-based Blach Construction Company, were chosen to design and build a new $25 million student health and counseling center at San Jose State University (SJSU).

As of April, pharmacist and clinical scientist Joseph B. Guglielmo will be the new dean of University of California San Francisco’s School of Pharmacy, where he’ll be shaping up the course of therapeutic sciences, pharmacy education, patient care and health policy. Having served as the school’s interim dean since July 2012, Guglielmo also led its Department of Clinical Pharmacy as the Thomas A. Oliver Chair in Clinical Pharmacy.
