Newly hired project manager for Conshohocken, Penn.-based Shoemaker Construction Co., Matt Madeira will oversee and manage all phases of a construction project from preconstruction to completion, including the development of a project schedule, construction plan and project phasing. During construction, Madeira is responsible for managing and directing the work of the specialty contractors and personnel.
WILMINGTON, Del. — A talking avatar named Val, an acronym for Veteran Affairs locator, now greets veterans and their family members at the Wilmington VA Medical Center via a LogicJunction digital wayfinding system that was launched in mid-December.
“The point of Val is to provide a personal touch to the interactive touchscreen system,” said Mike Drozda, chief operating officer for LogicJunction, in a statement.
ATLANTA — The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), based in Atlanta, launched the One and Only Campaign in April 2012, and discussed it in more depth on Nov. 13 during the organization’s monthly Public Health Grand Rounds webcast.
The campaign, led by the CDC and the Safe Injection Practices Coalition (SIPC) is meant to raise awareness for patients and health care providers about safe injection practices.
