Mark J. Winkler, a veteran media executive with extensive experience in sales and marketing of print, broadcast and digital products, was named president and publisher of The Desert Sun effective Sept. 27. Most recently, Winkler was executive vice president, chief sales officer and chief marketing officer at MediaNews Group in Denver.

EAST NORRITON — The ceremonial groundbreaking on Monday morning for the 146-bed, $350 million hospital on Germantown Pike attracted more than 350 township officials, politicians and staff members from Albert Einstein Healthcare Network (AEHN) and Montgomery Health System (MHS) to a large white tent set up on the construction site.
