HeatTrack manufactures a line of heated walkway and stair mats used to melt snow to reduce slips and falls in the workplace. The mats are made of natural rubber, melt 2 inches of snow per hour and use 40 watts of energy per square foot. The mats can be left outside for the entire winter season and provide an alternative to calcium chloride, which is also used to melt outside snow.

ZAP’s new electric scooter, the ZAPPY3, is equipped with a 36-volt motor, folding handlebars and goes up to 12.5 mph. The scooter features three-wheel stability and allows users to stand facing forward. The new model charges using a standard outlet in four to six hours and can run for up to 24 miles when fully charged, according to the company. While driving at slow speeds, the handlebars rotate almost 180 degrees to allow for easy maneuvering.
Component Hardware Group uses Saniguard’s antimicrobial technology for its 64-ounce ice scoop. The scoop can be used with ice or on dry goods. It is lined with antimicrobial technology that inhibits the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew. There is also a molded hand guard to prevent accidental hand contact and to help eliminate cross-contamination. The antimicrobial treatment involves a silver ion-based layer and will last through the expected life of the product.
A line of environmentally friendly generators created by Cummins Power Generation Inc. is now available. The generators passed the Environmental Protection Agency’s Tier 4 emissions regulations rated at 10 kW, 15 kW, 20 kW and 25 kW. The generators come with a weather-protective or sound muffling, steel or aluminum enclosure. The product also features the PowerCommand 1.1 electronic control. The control is completely integrated with the system and includes features such as automatic remote start and stop.
Nixalite’s bird control strips are rows of spikes designed to keep birds and their droppings from facility signage, rooftops and ledges. Made from 316 stainless steel wire and strip, the physical barrier prevents birds from landing, nesting or roosting on all types of surfaces.

RAE Systems offers ppbRAE 3000, a sensor that remotely identifies chemical leaks. The device is specifically designed to measure hydrocarbon-based chemical leaks but can also detect about 100 other types of chemical leaks, according to the company. Measurement data is transmitted every three minutes in up to 12 languages over a wireless connection. The system is ideal for monitoring systems from a remote location.
The product features a built-in flashlight and is water resistant. It has a back-lit graphical display with graphical charting capabilities.
A line of stainless steel trashcans by Nine Stars USA feature infrared technology to decrease the amount of germs obtained from touching a trashcan. A patented hands-free infrared sensor allows for protection from cross-contamination and germs.
The infrared light can detect motion from within 10 inches and will automatically open the lid as the user approaches. There are no levers or pedals attached to the trashcan the lid. The container is made of stainless steel and the lid is designed with a high-resistant plastic. The container seals tightly so odors remain inside the unit.
