CORTEZ, Colo. — Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez is planning a $14.2 million capital improvement project that will build an ambulance garage and will expand to include a new inpatient wing.
Johnson City, Tenn.-based Niswonger Chidren’s Hospital has named Lisa Carter, RN, MSN, the new CEO. The hospital, part of the Mountain States Health Alliance, named Carter CEO after she had been serving as interim CEO since September. She has been vice president and CNO of Niswonger Children’s Hospital as well as Johnson City Medical Center.

Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, Pa., has named Ann Marie Stevens as the new CEO. Previously, Stevens was serving as interim CEO before being offered the position permanently. She has worked as CEO of Mid Valley Hospital in Peckville, Pa., for 14 years and helped transition the facility to serve as an outpatient center for the community. Stevens has a background in critical care and management roles in both the emergency department and the intensive care unit.
