Euclid Chemical is offering Euco Diamond Hard sealer, which is made of a unique blend of silicate and siliconate polymers. The material penetrates concrete surfaces and chemically reacts to provide an increase in surface density, durability and offers abrasion resistance. Some of the features of the sealer include a reduction in porosity and an increase in the durability of the concrete surface. The product can be cleaned with water and minimizes tire marks and enables the product to be more easily removed. Euco Diamond Hard sealer can be applied to both new and existing concrete.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — An existing parking lot near All Children’s Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine in St. Petersburg will soon become an $85 million research and education building. The new 225,000-square-foot facility will hold a large, 250-seat auditorium and state-of-the-art labs and simulation space, according to Jonathan Ellen, All Children’s Hospital’s CEO.
PALO ALTO, Calif. — Just before the expected El Nino season is set to begin, the expansion project at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto reached a crucial milestone last week. The building has become weather-tight, according to hospital officials, which is necessary as the Bay Area is expected to see much more rain than in recent drought years., according to San Francisco Business Journal.
The New York-based Francis Cauffman architecture firm promoted Kelly Miller, AIA, NCARB to senior associate earlier this fall. Miller joined the firm in 2007 and was promoted to associate in 2011. She specializes in the management of health care facilities.
HDR Health Care Planner Judith Crews, based in Charlotte, N.C., won the Herman Miller Healthcare Scholar Award. The award was based on education, health care experience and a commitment to excellence in health care architecture. Crews also received an Intern Architect Scholarship, through which she was able to attend the Healthcare Design 2015 Conference in Washington in November.
