HOK to Transform Washington University Medical Center

ST. LOUIS — St. Louis-based HOK recently revealed design plans for the new Campus Renewal Project, a 10-year project that will transform the Washington University Medical Center (WUMC). The campus includes Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Children’s Hospital and the Washington University School of Medicine. Terry Forde

Adventist HealthCare (AHC) has named Terry Forde its new president and CEO. Forde was chosen as interim chief after the departure of former CEO Bill Robertson but had joined Adventist HealthCare in July 2011. He had previously served as the executive vice president and chief operating officer at AHC where he oversaw the growth of AHC in Maryland. Prior to that, Forde served for eight years as an executive with Centura Health.

Lankenau Medical Center Earns LEED Silver

WYNNEWOOD, Pa. — The Lankenau Medical Center is celebrating the recent achievement of LEED Silver certification for the sustainable design and construction of the center’s Master Facility Project. The $446 million, 600,000-square-foot project is the first health project in the region to receive LEED Silver and is the largest health care project on the East Coast to earn the green distinction, according to hospital officials.
