PORTLAND, Maine — Maine Medical Center in Portland debuted a new electronic health records system in early December. The “one patient, one record” system is part of a seven-year, $150 million technology upgrade said to be the state’s largest-ever capital investment in health care.
DALLAS — Seacrest Studios, a multimedia broadcast studio, debuted at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas with an initial broadcast on Nov. 14.

Hospitals may see an increase in MRI equipment after a study published in the journal Annals of Neurology on Dec. 7 revealed that MRIs might be better at predicting long-term outcomes for people with mild traumatic brain injuries than CT scans.
