Robert A. Frank
Robert A. Frank has been appointed to chief financial officer of the Weirton Medical Center. Frank, a health care industry veteran who has held various executive operational and financial management positions, is responsible for all finances including accounting, revenue cycle and budgeting.


WHR Architects recently promoted Joel Colwell, AIA, to principal. Colwell joined the firm in 2004 and spent the previous ten years on the client side as a facilities and project manager for a hospital in Louisiana.
ST. LOUIS — Designs are under state review on the new Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital in Willits, Calif. to replace the original 80-year-old facility, which failed to meet the state’s seismic standards and the hospital’s growing space needs.
Lawrence E. Wetzel, PE, chairman of the board of Air Innovations Inc., was recently honored with the HPAC Engineering magazine’s Engineer of the Year award. A licensed professional engineer in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and California, Wetzel holds contractors’ licenses in those states as well as in Florida and Virginia. Additionally, he has seven U.S. patents and one European patent, with other patents pending in Europe and Canada.

RICHMOND, Va. — The new Phoebe Sumter Medical Center, a 183,000-square foot replacement hospital for a tornado-ravished facility, recently opened its doors in Americus, Ga.
