Security Information Systems Inc., part of Honeywell’s Life Safety Group, offers new fire alarm control monitoring software that incorporates Fire-Lite’s panels, IPDACT Internet communicator and VisorAlarm IP receiver.
The system allows facility owners, security personnel and third parties to monitor several fire alarm panels from a UL-listed computer. It allows messages to be sent to multiple users via e-mail, text message, PC, cell phone or PDA.
Cubicle Curtain Factory offers a one-size-fits-all curtain, with a 66-square-inch panels that can be replaced as necessary. The sectioned-curtain complies with health codes, which state a soiled linen must be completely removed, according to the company.
The curtain’s panels overlap to ensure patient privacy and attach to the mesh top, which allows water from sprinklers to pass through in case of a fire. The curtains come in a variety of patterns and are connected with snaps.
Cannon Hygiene USA released a new hygienic hand dryer. The Dyson Airblade dries hands in 12 seconds while using 80 percent less energy than conventional hand dryers, according to the company. It also delivers cost savings close to 98 percent compared to paper towels, and is HEPA filtered to remove bacteria from the air.
The dryer is endorsed by the British Skin Foundation and the Royal Institute of Public Health, and it is certified by NSF International.
EPS Inc. expanded its line of resealable, leak-resistant bags with EPS Lab Guard Specimen Bags. The bags meet the National Committee of Clinical Laboratory Standard’s requirements to reduce the risk of spills and leaks. They feature a document pouch that allows the specimen and paperwork to be kept together, reducing the risk of contamination and clerical errors.
The bags come in three sizes, 6 inch x 9 inch, 8 inch x 10 inch and 12 inch x 12 inch. The bags can come with or without the biohazard symbol imprint.
TCP Inc. announced the release of the LED Dock Light that attaches to other dock light arms. The high-intensity, 15-W LED is equivalent to a 300-W incandescent light bulb and lasts up to 50,000 hours. The high-impact acrylic lens and borosilicate lens allow the light to function in hazardous locations.
Bobcat introduced a line of nine compact tractors, five are available now and four other models will be available before 2009. The tractors feature four-wheel drive, hydrostatic transmission and can be used with other Bobcat components such as an angle blade, finish mower, seeder and more. The design provides comfort and safety features including a spark arrestor muffler, steel panels and a rollover protective structure. Each model has different engine strengths, ranging from 20 horsepower to 34 horsepower.
Nixalite’s bird control strips are rows of spikes designed to keep birds and their droppings from facility signage, rooftops and ledges. Made from 316 stainless steel wire and strip, the physical barrier prevents birds from landing, nesting or roosting on all types of surfaces.
With up to 120 points per foot, the spikes can provide gap-free protection. A flexible base strip can be cut into custom lengths during installation and contoured with curved surfaces. The product features a mounting system that allows for removal and reinstallation.
The new 72S bulk linen cart from Meese Orbitron Dunne Co., features a lockable lid and frontal cover unit that closes tightly to help deter theft. Designed for transporting clean or soiled laundry and other goods, the cart can be used in hospitals, hotels and other facilities.

The accel-E wall panel system, manufactured by Accelerated Building Technologies LLC, consists of steel framing components and expandable polystyrene that are fused together to create structural insulating panels. Panels are designed specifically to each project’s specifications.
Panels are manufactured in a variety of thicknesses, from 5 to 8 inches, and up to 48 feet in height. Window and door openings are precut for faster on-site installation. They are fire-, mold- and insect-resistant and are designed to improve building acoustics.
