Daphne David

Daphne David was recently selected as Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford’s president and CEO effective May 1. David will succeed Gordon Ferguson, who served as the hospital’s CEO for 20 years. 

With two decades of experience as a healthcare executive, David will support the hospital in a time of growth and investment in advanced patient care. Most recently, David served as CEO of HCA TriStar Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tenn., where she led major expansions that resulted in improved patient care and a reduction in staff turnover. In her prior roles as CEO for North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton, Colo., and COO for Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Fla., David strengthened market shares in the face of market decline and enriched the Graduate Medical Education program.
