Carrie Stokes

As she approaches her third decade at the firm, Carrie Stokes has been appointed chief executive officer at Barge Design, the east coast-based engineering architecture healthcare design firm. Stokes began her Barge Design journey as an intern, and steadily climbed the ranks through numerous leadership positions. Most recently, Stokes was chief of staff where she enhanced Barge Designs strategic initiatives surrounding national infrastructure opportunities. With her deep understanding of the firm’s mission, and an expertise in cultivating workforce culture, Stokes will focus on strengthening leadership and development opportunities to further advance Barge Design. Stokes will be taking over for Bob Higgins, who leaves his role after nearly 30 years within the company. Higgins will remain chairman of the Firm’s board.
