GILBERT, Ariz.—HealthyU Clinics, a provider of integrated primary and specialty care services, has announced the acquisition of Ma’am Exams in Gilbert. The medical office will retain all 20 staff members, including five nurse practitioners, and welcome additional medical professionals who are committed to women’s health services. Patients will benefit by having convenient access to primary care providers and specialty care services in one location, including same-day care and medical spa services.
“This strategic integration with Ma’am Exams is rooted in our shared values that prioritize whole body health and preventive care, such as early detection for breast and cervical cancer through regular screenings,” said Dr. Shane Speirs, Chief Medical Officer of HealthyU Clinics. “Together, our teams will have more resources to empower and guide women with comprehensive, tailored treatment plans that incorporate medical and wellness needs.”
Under the new ownership, Ma’am Exams at 1760 E. Pecos Road will now offer appointments with primary care physicians focused on patient-centric care. New patients and HealthyU Clinic patients from its nearby office on Val Vista Road will also benefit from specialized services such as thyroid treatment, bio-identical hormone replacement, vitamin deficiencies, and weight loss.
“Integrating our services allows for a holistic approach to promote overall well-being. Our health professionals will be aligned to ensure women have the best treatment outcomes, from adolescence to menopause,” said Dr. Michael Dunn, President of Ma’am Exams. “Together we are committed to ensuring women have a stable, supportive environment where they feel valued, heard, and cared for.”
HealthyU Clinics’ acquisition marks its 11th primary care medical office in the Valley. Since launching in late 2021, the Arizona healthcare provider has expanded locations and services. HealthyU Clinics now has 130 medical professionals and support staff in Arizona.
“By expanding our services to include women’s health, we aim to reduce some of the fragmentation that exists in the healthcare system and provide next generation value-based-care to patients.,” said Varesh Chaurasia, HealthyU Clinics Chief Executive Officer. “We believe so strongly in this partnership that we are already considering a sister location under the Ma’am Exams brand in the West Valley.”
HealthyU Clinics has five West Valley offices in Glendale, Avondale, Surprise, and Phoenix. It also has primary care facilities in Mesa, Gilbert, and Chandler, as well as six specialty offices in California.
