The 517,000-square-foot facility in Austin, Texas, hosts 13 operating rooms and 211 beds, securing a new health care innovation zone in downtown Austin with sustainability leading as its core value.

Kadean Construction Completes Renovation for Washington University School of Medicine

Construction of the 20,700-square-foot project includes 96 different doctor’s offices in the campus’ historic Peter’s building. With the renovation beginning June 2017, Kadean Construction worked on a rigid schedule, taking approximately six months to complete the project. The renovation required the stripping of two floors and building new private and shared offices, as well as conference and support space for anesthesiologists and other physicians, according to Mike Eveler, president of Kadean Construction.

Fort Mojave Indian Tribe Gains New Dialysis Clinic to Better Serve its Members

DLR Group of Omaha, Neb., announced the opening of its new dialysis center, with the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe cutting the ribbon to the clinic on March 1. The central location will allow members across Arizona, Nevada and California to easily access the facility and specialized services. Construction of the $1.9 million, 5,100-square-foot facility began February 2017 as DLR Group worked closely with the community — including the clinic’s future patients and providers — to gain a clear understanding of the tribe’s desires for the clinic. The tribe’s input aided the design process with the intention to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for the dialysis patients throughout their private treatment.
