Vanir Construction Management Inc. announced that it has hired industry veteran Gary Simon, registered architect and LEED-accredited professional, as area manager for the company’s Los Angeles office. Randy Britt, LEED Accredited Professional, who has been serving as interim area manager, will continue serving as Vanir’s chief sustainability officer. With more than 35 years of experience in the management of all facets of design and construction, Simon has led the successful delivery of capital projects values at over $2 billion throughout the Southern California region in both the public and private sectors. Simon’s areas of expertise include hospitals, educational facilities, jails, courthouses, office buildings, airports, hotels, sports facilities, historic renovation projects, central utility plants, wind farms, military base reuse and public safety telecommunication systems. In his role at Vanir, Simon will lead all aspects of business operations for the Los Angeles office, including business development, client relations and the day-to-day execution of business contracts.
