Suburban Hospital to Break Ground in October

More Hospitals Strive for Sustainability, Report Shows
RESTON, Va. — The Healthier Hospitals Initiative (HHI) has released its 2013 Milestone Report, which shows more hospitals are adopting sustainability practices. According to the report, hospitals are taking such measures to reduce their environmental footprint, lower costs and improve the health of patients and staff.
Feds Award Millions for Health Center Construction
WASHINGTON — The Obama administration awarded $35 million to 147 health centers to support patient-centered medical homes through new construction and facility renovations. The health centers are in 44 states.
Matt Hufnagle

Daikin Applied has expanded the Magnitude WMC chiller line to include four additional sizes: WMC125, 200, 225 and 275. The expanded line provides greater flexibility for engineers who can now closely match chillers to the specifications of the job and apply magnetic bearing chillers on many more projects. With more than 3,000 installations globally, Magnitude’s oil-free, magnetic bearing compressor technology reduces energy and operating costs. The oil-free technology reduces maintenance costs because there are no conventional bearings or oil management systems.
