Paul Whitson

Paul Whitson, AIA, joins HOK’s St. Louis practice as senior vice president and health care principal. Responsible for the company’s north central region, he will be providing health care planning and design, project delivery, business and client relations, practice management as well as staff development. With a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a Master’s of Architecture from Washington University, Whitson has over 20 years of experience as a practicing architect, specializing in health and science environments. Having worked on projects ranging from replacement hospitals to research labs, he comes to HOK from architecture and engineering firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, where he most recently served as health and science practice leader. Whitson previously served as director for the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City project in Abu Dhabi and the Katz Women’s Hospital and Mount Sinai Center for Science and Medicine projects in New York.
