New Cancer Center Opens in Washington
EDMONDS, Wash. — Swedish Health Services opened a new outpatient cancer center April 1 at its Edmonds campus. The new two-story, 17,102-square-foot facility was built in response to the growing needs of cancer-care services for people living in the south Snohomish and north King County areas.


There have been several shifts in the health care industry recently. The Affordable Care Act is most likely here to stay, which will drastically increase the number of insured people in need of care by 2014.
A recent
Deputy Vice-Mayor Angeleta Gray has been chosen to serve as commissioner for the Health Care District of Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners in Palm Springs, Fla. During her term, Gray will assist the district in ensuring that access is available to a comprehensive health care system and that the delivery of quality services is provided for the residents of Palm Beach County. She has been a member of the Delray Beach City Commission since 2009.
