Helen Ryan

Helen Ryan was recently named the permanent director of nursing for the Yeovil District Hospital Foundation Trust in Yeovil, England. Now with nearly 20 years of experience and service at this district, Ryan originally joined the team when she took charge of the intensive care unit in 1993. She later on became the nurse consultant responsible for critical care. Ryan also spent six years on Yeovil District Hospital’s board of governors as a staff governor.

In addition, Ryan trained at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, England and moved to St Thomas’ Hospital in London before spending eight years in the Royal Air Force. During this time she was based in Cyprus, where she performed aero-medical duties, as well as served in the renal intensive care unit at RAF Halton in the UK.
