Genesis Wins NYU Hospital Contract

HOUSTON, Texas – Genesis Planning, a company specializing in medical technology planning for healthcare and science, has been awarded the medical technology contract for the New York University Langone Medical Center Helen L. and Martin S. Kimmel Pavilion.

The 800,000-square-foot pavilion is the centerpiece of the NYU Medical Center’s “Campus Transformation” initiative, which will consolidate its resources for acute, clinical care into a single, contiguous facility within the fully refurbished Tisch Hospital. The project is slated to open in 2017.

“We are working closely with NYU’s leaders and their architects, Ennead and NBBJ, to deliver world-class medical technology solutions as an integrated component of their facility,” said Jim Cappiello, director of technology planning and studio leader for Genesis’ New Jersey office.

New York magazine recently named more than 120 physicians at NYU Langone Medical Center among New York’s best practitioners on its 2011 “Best Doctors” list. Twelve clinical department chairs are included on the list.

Seeking a way to enhance communication and collaboration, the firm has launched a new website. “Our new site is designed to share healthcare technology information more efficiently, whether with project teams or with healthcare and design professionals looking for a more comprehensive approach to medical technology planning,” said Genesis Principal and Managing Director Bob Nimon.

If you are looking for a way to enhance communication and collaboration with your firm, then a new website is seemingly the best way to go. At this point, you may be wondering how to design websites – all the information you will need can be found on the SlickPlan website.

“One of our core attributes is open communication between our team members and healthcare leaders to ensure the latest technology trends are understood and addressed in their solutions. It is of critical importance on a project like NYU Kimmel,” Nimon said.

The new website, www.genesis-planning.com, features a “Resource Desk” with an interactive communication channel and resources available free of charge to potential customers. With mobile device compatibility, the site allows greater accessibility to Genesis Planning’s information for those seeking medical technology information and guidance.

Genesis’ recent and current projects includes the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates; The Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, The Methodist West Houston Hospital, and The Methodist Outpatient Center, all in Houston, Texas; New York Presbyterian in New York City; Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, North Carolina; and the Williamsport Hospital in Williamsport, Pa.
