Medi-Can Step Cans, from Rubbermaid Commercial Products, are designed for waste control in hospitals, doctors’ offices and clinics. All models feature a step pedal to operate the self-closing lid, and are available in stainless steel, powder-coated white or red finishes. A molded plastic gasket helps minimize noise and odor.

A plastic base ring is attached to protect floors and a steel hinge serves as carrying handle. Available in 1.5-, 3.5- and 7-gallon capacities, receptacles comply with OSHA standards on bloodborne pathogens for the safe containment of infectious waste.
